Last month PredictionIO was selected as a “Rising Star” to present at Founders Forum in New York.
“Founders Forum is a community for the best global entrepreneurs, select inspiring CEOs and key investors, in media and technology.”
Founders Forum host events in London, New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Los Angeles.
Following in the footsteps of companies such as Shazam (2009), Rovio (2011) and DeepMind (2013) each Rising Star has the opportunity to give a short pitch (no more than 5 mins). This is a unique and rare opportunity to engage with prominent investors, thought leaders and successful entrepreneurs.
Other Rising Star companies at the New York event included Duolingo (a free language-learning and crowdsourced text translation platform) and Savioke (robots for the services industry, including hotels, elder care, hospitals, restaurants and offices).
The day’s proceedings included a panel on robots and a session on the future of media, with panelists from Upworthy, The New York Times, Financial Times and BuzzFeed.
Unfortunately we couldn’t stay to see Nao, the creation of Aldebran Robotics, introduce Mayor Bloomberg, but enjoyed the opportunity to present to such an audience.
